Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Research Associate to join our team in Environmental Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing scholarly research and professional activities through the pursuit of defined projects.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and develop scholarly research and professional activities through defined projects.
  • Contribute towards teaching and learning at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
  • Collaborate with industry stakeholders and practitioners in the Australian water and resource industries where appropriate.
  • Undertake high quality academic research and conduct independent and applied research with limited supervision.
Essential Qualifications:
  • A PhD in Environmental Engineering and relevant work experience with industry collaboration.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in one or more of the following areas: air quality and treatment; water quality and management; chemical and sensory odorant analysis; data science including bioinformatics and/or machine learning.
  • Ability to work constructively with practitioners in the Australian water and resource industries.
  • Proven ability to conduct high quality academic research and to work independently with limited supervision.
