About the Role

The Senior Research Fellow will be responsible for developing, managing and implementing research projects in Rural and Remote Health, and expanding the College's research activities through the attraction of external grants and research contracts.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of research in Rural and Remote Health, including evidence of sustained high-quality publications and the attraction of competitive grants.

Flinders University Rural and Remote Health SA is a leading institution in the field of Rural and Remote Health, with a strong national and international reputation for providing community-engaged inter-professional training.

The team is committed to advancing the evidence base for rural health, particularly in areas such as workforce recruitment and retention, innovative service models, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and wellbeing.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a PhD or equivalent research experience in Rural and Remote Health, as well as a strong track record of research and publication.

You will also need to be able to use independent judgement and initiative to manage and coordinate research activities, and to work effectively with a team to achieve research goals.

Requirements

The successful candidate will need to have a strong understanding of the intellectual property and commercialisation process in a research environment, as well as the ability to mentor and supervise early to mid-career researchers.

You will also need to be able to provide leadership and direction to staff and students in relation to research plans, and to contribute to the development of research strategy and policy.
