About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Lead to join our team at Primero Group. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning process for our projects, ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with safety, health, environmental, quality, completion, and production targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the commissioning process for projects, ensuring seamless execution and compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Develop and implement commissioning plans, collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on commissioning best practices, ensuring that all systems are properly tested and validated for operational readiness.
  • Manage and mentor a team of commissioning engineers and technicians, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, project managers, and other team members.
  • Proactively plan and manage resources to ensure that project objectives are met, and that all data requirements are met consistently, completely, and on a timely basis.
  • Develop relationships with clients and stakeholders to maximize business opportunities and ensure repeat or initial business.
  • Effectively manage multiple jobs on site, ensuring that all activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
Requirements
  • At least five (5) years' experience as a Commissioning Lead on similar projects.
  • Degree qualified in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering.
  • CPEng status would be advantageous.
  • Current Driver's License.
  • Construction Induction – OHS White Card.
  • Prior experience in the start-up phase of processing plants.
  • An understanding of Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
  • Ability to be flexible and resourceful to cope with the inherent load fluctuations of the profession.
  • Strong analytical ability to solve complex problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and understanding of OH&S best practice and obligations.
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and tenacity.
