We are seeking an experienced Culinary Specialist to join our catering department at Derwent Views home in Hobart, Tasmania, on a casual basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving nourishing meals for residents, aligning with the guidelines of the Food Safety Program.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day preparation, provision, and presentation of excellent standard food and drink, ensuring resident satisfaction.
- Support special dietary requirements of individual residents as specified by dietician, speech therapist, or clinical care team.
- Ensure stock items are reported to Chef Supervisor for ordering.
- Implement and monitor the Food Safety Program (FSP) in partnership with Chef Supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and non-cluttered work environment and promote safe work practices.
- Plan and execute daily workload in an organised and professional manner.
Requirements
- Certificate relevant to the role (e.g. Certificate III Hospitality – Commercial Cookery).
- Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
- Food Handling Course.
