Senior Operations Systems Lead

At Optus, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Operations Systems Lead to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading the integration and delivery of our upgraded core platform, ensuring it meets all technical specifications and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the integration and delivery of the upgraded core platform, ensuring it meets all technical specifications and operational standards.
- Oversee the transition from project delivery to operations, ensuring the platform is fully operational and supported by robust processes.
- Apply your deep understanding of AWS to guide the platform's architecture and ensure it aligns with best practices and Optus' strategic goals.
- Manage and mentor a diverse team, both onshore and offshore, to ensure they are equipped to support the platform post-delivery.
- Collaborate with key business units to ensure the platform meets current and future needs, acting as the main point of contact for escalations and inquiries.
- Drive ongoing optimization of the platform, implementing automation and monitoring solutions to enhance performance and reliability.
- Manage the operational budget, ensuring that expenditures align with the capital plan and that any risks are identified and mitigated early.
- Ensure that all operations adhere to Optus' policies and regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest standards of compliance.
- Strong AWS knowledge with a focus on designing and managing large-scale, enterprise-level platforms.
- Proven experience in managing post-delivery operations, ensuring platforms are reliable, efficient, and meet SLAs.
- Ability to oversee the technical delivery of a platform, ensuring it meets all engineering standards and operational requirements.
- Collaborative leader who can motivate and manage a diverse team, ensuring they are aligned with Optus' goals and values.
- Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve issues, with the ability to drive outcomes through collaboration and leadership.
- Experience in managing external partners, ensuring they deliver high-quality services and adhere to contractual KPIs.
- 3 days in the office, 2 days remote – with flexible hours to suit.
