About the Role

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team at Australian Training Company as a 1st Year Apprentice Chef. This position provides a supportive environment where you can gain practical experience and achieve a nationally recognized Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes
  2. Learn essential culinary techniques and kitchen operations
  3. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
  4. Follow recipes and standards to ensure high-quality food production
  5. Engage in various aspects of the hospitality environment

Requirements:

  1. A passion for food and a strong desire to secure a long-term career as a chef is essential.
  2. An interest in learning most facets of the hospitality environment is also essential.
  3. The ability to communicate on all levels is necessary.
  4. Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate or the ability to obtain is essential.

What We Offer:

  3. All trainees are paid in accordance with the National Training Wage Award.

This is a full-time position, 38 hours per week. Recent school leavers are encouraged to apply, with relevant training provided. Those with qualifications of Certificate III or above need not apply.
