As a medical professional with our healthcare team, you will make a real impact supporting Australia's Defence personnel. You will work in a modern, well-equipped facility alongside a supportive, multidisciplinary team at Williamtown Health Centre.

About the Role
  • You will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical services including aviation-based services such as fitness to fly assessments, aviation medicals and aircrew clinical health management to patients in accordance with professional standards, legislation, and Defence Policies and Procedures.
  • You will provide medical technical advice to senior Commanding Officers, Health Centre Managers, and other unit commanders.
  • You may be required to provide services in either an outpatient setting or as inpatient care within a hospital or medical centre.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner is essential.
  • FRACGP, FACRRM, or Vocational Registration is also mandatory.
  • A minimum of 2 years' full-time (or part-time equivalent) GP experience in the last 5 years is necessary.
  • Australian Citizen status is required for Baseline Security Clearance purposes.
  • A basic military aviation medicine course or equivalent is required - opportunity to be sponsored if not currently held.
