Casual Trainer and Assessor Role


This position is ideal for a driven and supportive individual who is passionate about working with disadvantaged learners and non-English speakers. As a casual trainer and assessor, you will play a key part in providing additional support to the team in the successful delivery of the AMEP and SEE program.


Your Key Responsibilities:



  • Deliver training sessions when required, using effective learning techniques and maintaining a student-centered approach.
  • Support the team in completing pre-training assessments and implementing training to meet contract requirements.
  • Identify barriers to learning to support student attendance and implement strategies to overcome these challenges.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to bring learning to life for students, using different forms of communication to gain positive outcomes.

About You:



  • Be a motivated and community-minded individual with a strong knowledge of the VET sector and the National Standards for RTOs (2015).
  • Have excellent skills in training facilitation and assessment within a vocational area.
  • Be able to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment and have a strong desire to support disadvantaged learners and non-English speakers.

Qualifications:




    • A current Cert IV TAE or Diploma in Adult Education, or an undergraduate degree with a postgraduate qualification in TESOL or equivalent qualifications.
    • Knowledge of the Australian Core Skills Framework is preferred.
