Site Service Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Site Service Engineer to join our team at the Voith Group.
About the JobThis role is responsible for providing technical support and advice to field sites, ensuring smooth project execution and delivering high-quality results.
As a Site Service Engineer, you will be the key point of contact for installation teams, proactively identifying risks and opportunities, and maintaining accurate records of field service time schedules and coordination dates with the Project Team and customer.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical support and advice to field sites, including preparation and maintenance of work packages, technical procedures, control sheets, methods, and documentation.
- Proactively anticipate risks and chances, and raise them to the Project Team. Maintain accurate records of field service time schedules and coordinate dates with the Project Team and customer.
- Prepare specifications, technical procedures, and work descriptions for installation subcontractors, and evaluate installation bids/offers.
- Facilitate clarifications with customers, ensuring clear understanding of project requirements and timelines.
- Participate in design review meetings, ensuring field-related design considerations are incorporated into project plans.
- Ensure availability of HSE, quality plans, and documents, promoting a safe working environment.
- Develop and ensure availability of project-specific procedures and safety assessments, adhering to company standards.
- Determine site layouts, tooling/fixtures, and site infrastructure requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Monitor target achievement regarding quality, schedule, costs, and support corrective actions, driving continuous improvement.
- Facilitate identification and allocation of required internal and external resources, ensuring efficient project delivery.
- C Coordinate and teamwork between site and back-office functions, fostering open communication and collaboration.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A university diploma in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience and technical understanding of Turbines, Generators, and balance of plant equipment.
- Project management, sub-supplier handling, and scheduling experience.
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, schedules, and budgets.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Fully computer literate MS Office suite, as well as SAP and Primavera P6 knowledge.
- Competencies in AutoCad, Solid edge software or equivalent are desirable.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills in English; due to the international team set-up, additional languages are beneficial.
- A team player with strong leadership and project management skills, able to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
- Willingsness to stay in Australia for the project execution time (approx. 4-5 years).
