Culinary Artist

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Accor's Canberra Domestic Lounges. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality food for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organization.
• Support the kitchen team in executing basic cooking techniques and methods under the guidance of senior chefs.
• Follow established recipes and instructions for the preparation and presentation of dishes.
• Assist in plating and presentation of dishes, ensuring they meet established standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Help monitor ingredient inventory levels and report shortages to the kitchen supervisor or chef.
• Continuously learn and improve culinary skills by seeking guidance from senior chefs and attending training sessions.

Requirements:

• Experience with culinary education or relevant cooking experience is preferred but not always required.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced commercial kitchen.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• MUST have full working rights within Australia.
• Ability to pass a federal police background security check.
