Randstad Defence is seeking an experienced Chief Enterprise Network Architect to lead the planning and designing of enterprise-wide networking for a critical air traffic control program.

About the Role
  • Provide strategic direction to the development of architectural patterns that meet operational requirements.
  • Lead the development of architectural patterns for enterprise-wide networking.
  • Review and prepare site designs, including interconnection diagrams, rack layouts, and Bill of materials artefacts.
  • Work closely with other business units and systems engineering teams to develop plans and procedures to ensure performance requirements are met.
  • Convert service provisioning requirements into actionable network configuration designs and ultimately configuration changes.
  • Maintain expertise in data network technologies and keep up-to-date with current and new network architectures.
  • Support the network monitoring team to manage, measure, monitor, and report network performance.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science with a focus on networks.
  • 10+ years of experience in analysing, configuring, troubleshooting, designing complex enterprise networks.
  • 8+ years of experience as an engineer on large electronic systems integration projects.
  • Domain knowledge of the Telecommunications industry, including carrier services, provisioning terminology, CISCO routers, and network infrastructure.
  • Understanding of WAN and LAN architectures and technologies.
  • Strong familiarity with Routers (Cisco ISRs, F5, Juniper CPT, Cisco NCSs) and Firewalls (F5 preferred, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto).
  • Thorough understanding of IPv4 protocols and emerging IPv6 deployments.
