Acrobatic Arts Dance Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and highly qualified dance teacher to join our Co-Curricular Dance Program on a casual basis.

The program offers classes for students in Prep to Year 12 in various dance styles, with the successful candidate teaching Monday afternoons from 3:00-7:00 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Teach Acrobatic Arts or similar dance styles to students of varying abilities.
  2. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  3. Work collaboratively as part of a team-teaching capacity for larger class sizes.
  4. Provide additional support to students by offering extra classes if needed.
  5. Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  6. Contribute to the development of the Co-Curricular Dance Program through sharing expertise and participating in staff meetings.
  7. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay up-to-date with industry trends.

Requirements:

  • Hold qualifications and training in Acrobatic Arts or similar.
  • Have at least 3-5 years of experience teaching Acro Dance.
  • Be willing to complete a safe dance training course recently.
  • Hold up-to-date CPR and First Aid training.
