SYC is a non-profit human services organisation dedicated to empowering individuals to succeed in their careers. As an Employment Coach, you will play a pivotal role in helping participants overcome career challenges and achieve their employment goals.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a passionate and empathetic Employment Coach to join our team in Murray Bridge. In this role, you will be part of a supportive and result-driven team who are dedicated to our vision of well-being, independence, and opportunity for everyone.

  • Provide One-to-One Coaching Sessions: Assess participants' career needs and create personalised action plans to help them achieve their employment goals.
  • Conduct Career Assessments: Identify participants' strengths, interests, and values to guide their employment goals and develop effective job search strategies.
  • Collaborate with Community Organisations: Use sales strategies to network with community organisations and create opportunities for participants.
  • Develop Effective Job Search Strategies: Assist participants in developing effective job search strategies, including resume writing and interview preparation.
  • Referral Services: Refer participants through training, counselling, and other services to increase long-term employment outcomes.
  • Compliance Requirements: Ensure compliance requirements are met while delivering employment services.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in customer service, client-facing or an administrative role. You must possess strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to meet deadlines and outlined KPI targets.

  • Experience in Customer Service: Demonstrated experience in providing exceptional customer service and building strong relationships with clients.
  • Time Management and Organisation: Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to conduct client assessments, develop case plans, and write reports.
  • Interpersonal Conflict Resolution: Ability to resolve conflicts and negotiate with clients, employers, and stakeholders.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in computer software applications, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

What We Offer

  • Estimated Salary: AU$ 65,000 - AU$ 80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
