Teaching Career Opportunity
The Graduate Teacher Program is an ongoing full-time opportunity for graduates to further develop their skills and competencies as a classroom practitioner.
Main Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement and assess teaching programs or courses of study
- Deliver high-quality teaching to students in a year level
- Evaluate student progress in key learning areas and maintain accurate records
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes
- Implement effective classroom management aligned with the school's charter
- Collaborate with colleagues to participate in professional development planning, implementation, and reflection, developing a professional portfolio
Essential Requirements:
- A relevant tertiary qualification completed within the last four years
- Not employed as a teacher by the Department at the time of commencement
- Currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
Additional Requirements:
- Supervise student activities including support and welfare programs
- Contribute to co-curricular programs
