About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Room Leader to join our team at Happy Days Macarthur Square, YMCA Victoria. As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of educators to provide high-quality early childhood education and care to children aged six weeks to five years old.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Lead and manage a team of educators to achieve the objectives of the Centre and support staff in their development.
  • Mentoring and Coaching: Assist with the mentoring of permanent and casual employees to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to provide high-quality care and education.
  • Curriculum Implementation: Follow an approved curriculum and be a role model for children in developing lifelong skills and instilling in them a passion for learning.
  • Lesson Planning and Delivery: Make lessons captivating and enjoyable for individuals and small groups of children, ensuring that they are engaging and relevant to their needs.
  • Quality Improvement: Deliver consistent high-quality practice of the National Quality Framework and ensure that records are maintained accurately for each child in care.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Diploma or equivalent qualifications in Early Childhood / Children's Services or equivalent.
  • Certifications: First Aid and CPR certification, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certification, Working with Children Card.

Happy Days Macarthur Square is an 80 place service, conveniently located at Macarthur Square shopping centre, Campbelltown NSW. We have a covered outdoor environment with access to a small natural environment and four rooms where we educate and care for the children based on different age groups.
