Job Summary


We are seeking a highly effective and skilled Classroom Teacher to join our team at St Thomas' Catholic School. This is a full-time opportunity to commence in Term 1, 2025.


Key Responsibilities



  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning programs that cater to the needs of all learners
  • Contribute to the school's Continuous Improvement Cycle and drive student achievement
  • Develop and implement sound pedagogical practices to create a motivating and engaging learning environment
  • Skilled in analysing and reflecting on student learning data to ensure learning growth for all students;
  • Highly effective in managing and facilitating safe and supportive learning environments with an understanding of positive student welfare practices
  • Willingness to contribute to the broader extracurricular aspects of school life as an active member of the school community
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic professional learning community.
  • Proficient in the use of technology to enhance student learning

  • A competitive salary package, estimated at $120,000 per annum, which includes higher pay rates above the NSW Department of Education standard
  • More time: We provide every primary and secondary classroom teacher with collaborative planning time (CPT), in addition to the usual release from face-to-face

Requirements



  • A four-year trained qualification or be enrolled to undertake further study that will provide them with a four-year trained qualification to be eligible to apply for any teaching position in the Diocese
