Lead Operational Excellence Specialist

We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join our team on a 16-month fixed-term contract.

In this pivotal role, you will drive operational excellence across Customer and Business Operations portfolio, championing best practice workflow, governance, and service optimisation to enable achievement of our Health Insurance strategy.

You will be based in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, or Brisbane, with hybrid work arrangements available.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Direct and lead the business on the creation and adoption of best practice workflow underpinned by relevant compliance and quality regulations.
  • Drive engagement in a continuous improvement culture through project initiatives and communication with senior stakeholders.
  • Utilise data and analytics to identify areas for improvement and redesign.
  • Educate and influence stakeholders on workflow design using LEAN methodologies and insights.
  • Align operational delivery with Bupa's customer service strategy.
  • Establish governance, reporting, and communication processes to ensure ongoing quality assurance and risk management.
  • Ensure controls are in place to sustain improvements, including workflow mapping and documentation.

Requirements:
  • Degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years' leadership experience, including managing people and workflow ownership.
  • Expertise in workflow design and continuous improvement, preferably in a service industry.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience leading workflow change programs.
  • Strong stakeholder management and customer focus.
  • Advanced knowledge of continuous improvement, transformation, and redesign methodologies.
  • Proven ability to deliver operational outcomes with a focus on quality and compliance.
