Learning Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students with learning difficulties by implementing targeted instruction withdrawal lessons under the guidance of experienced educators.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering daily direct instruction lessons to students with learning difficulties using evidence-based strategies and tailored learning programs.
  • Collaborating closely with class teachers to facilitate student learning and develop personalized learning plans.
  • Providing individualized support to students with identified learning needs, enabling them to access and engage with curriculum content.

Requirements for this role include:

  • Experience working with children in secondary education, preferably as a Teacher Aide.
  • A strong understanding of appropriate behaviors when engaging with children.
  • A minimum qualification of a Certificate of Education Support - Integration Aide/Teacher Aide or a Certificate III in Education Support.
  • Familiarity with some evidence-based intervention strategies and learning programs.
