Your Role

As an Accommodation Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services that cater to the unique needs of individuals with disabilities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing person-centred support to participants, working in collaboration with the Disability and Inclusion division to ensure consistency with individual support plans.
  • Ensuring that participant support aligns with NDIS principles and Quality and Safeguard Commission requirements, including demonstrating support that is person-centred and tailored to individual needs.
  • Supporting individuals with disabilities in areas such as personal care, health and well-being, accessing the local community, and learning independent living skills.
  • Working with participants to increase capacity, independence, and community connections.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate III in Disabilities or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering person-centred services to clients, including customer service skills.
  • Experience with or understanding of maintaining records of service delivery, or ability to acquire the knowledge.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • High-level interpersonal skills, including the ability to work in a multifunctional team and interact with a broad cross-section of people.
  • Certificate of completion for The NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality, Safety & You or willingness to obtain Certificate of completion.
  • NDIS New Worker Screening.
