Senior Dairy Cattle Stockperson

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Dairy Cattle Stockperson to join our production team at a dairy farm in Woodlands, NSW 2575.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and coordinate all aspects of milk production, including milking shed routines and reproductive programs.
- Implement calving procedures and manage pastures and crops for livestock production.
- Supervise animal health programs and handle sick or injured animals.
- Operate milking plant and equipment, and maintain quality assurance procedures.
- Assist with and/or perform irrigation works, and transport, handle and store chemicals.
- Contribute to and implement OHS requirements, and participate in enterprise/industry training sessions and workshops.
- AQF Certificate III in Agriculture / Dairy Production (or higher equivalent)
- Three (3) years of recent and relevant work experience
- Computer literate and able to operate computer equipment and software packages
This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a high level of skill and experience in dairy cattle management. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating all aspects of milk production, including milking shed routines and reproductive programs.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of animal health and welfare, and be able to supervise and manage a team of less experienced employees. They will also be required to operate milking plant and equipment, and maintain quality assurance procedures.
