About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our team at Thiess' Mount Arthur South site in the picturesque Hunter Valley Region. As a key member of our planning team, you will play a pivotal role in planning and coordinating short to medium-term maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and schedule short to medium-term maintenance for Light Vehicles, Ancillary equipment, or Off-Highway Trucks, adhering to Thiess' Maintenance and planning procedures.
  • Initiate and monitor the purchasing and logistics process to ensure parts, equipment, resources, and tooling are available when required.
  • Monitor the condition and organise the repair of related assets, Heavy Equipment, Ancillary and Light Vehicles.
  • Develop weekly-agreed maintenance plans using equipment strategies to facilitate maximum production and minimize downtime and costs to meet plant availability and reliability targets.
  • Ensure all Maintenance and Statutory information stored in the CMMS is detailed, accurate and current.
  • Timely communication of any foreseeable disruptions to planned events.
  • Actively engage with mining operations team to ensure plans are aligned with production objectives.
  • Ensure that all work completed is carried out as per Thiess and Client approved Standards, Process and Procedures in accordance with company procurement policy.
About You
  • Relevant Maintenance Planning Qualifications.
  • Mechanical Trade or experience in a prior planning role.
  • Maintenance management diploma or Mechanical Engineering qualification are advantageous.
  • Maintenance planning experience with Shutdowns/ Service days in a mobile plant environment.
  • Experience in Maintenance systems JDE, SAP or similar highly regarded.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Order 43 (desirable).
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Time management and the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • The ability to work harmoniously with other people of various backgrounds.
  • Problem solving – identifying and finding a solution autonomously.
  • Excellent Communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Current Driver's Licence.
