Hotel Housekeeping Leadership Role

This is a supervisory position within the housekeeping department, responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality.

The successful candidate will be an experienced leader with excellent organizational skills, able to motivate and manage a team effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & Team Management:
    • Oversee daily operations of the housekeeping department and lead a team of staff members.
    • Motivate and train housekeeping staff to ensure high standards of cleanliness and efficiency.
  • Cleaning & Maintenance Standards:
    • Ensure all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet hotel cleanliness and quality standards.
    • Conduct regular room inspections to maintain high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Inventory & Supplies Management:
    • Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities.
    • Order supplies and ensure proper storage and use.
  • Guest Satisfaction & Quality Control:
    • Foster high levels of guest satisfaction by responding promptly to guest requests and resolving any housekeeping-related issues.
    • Investigate and resolve any guest complaints related to cleanliness or housekeeping services.
  • Health & Safety Compliance:
    • Educate housekeeping staff on hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards.
    • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, including sanitation standards and OSHA guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Education & Experience:
    • A degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
    • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in housekeeping, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Skills & Knowledge:
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Working Conditions:
  • Able to lift and carry heavy objects, including cleaning supplies and linens (up to 50 pounds).
  • Able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
