Opal Fibre Packaging ANZ Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our Opal Scoresby Team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including disassembling, assessing, repairing, and reassembling machines and equipment.
  2. Ensure equipment condition and reliability to meet company quality and safety targets.
  3. Support and promote Production Management Systems.
  4. Provide technical assistance to the Maintenance and Production teams.
  5. Assist with ordering components and liaising with external stakeholders as necessary.
  6. Comply with and practice Opal safety protocols.
  7. Contribute to the development and execution of efficient preventative maintenance practices.

Requirements:

  1. C8 Trade classification.
  2. Experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, general fitting, machining, and fault finding.
  3. Able to work independently and within a team.
  4. Experience with CMMS and other maintenance/reliability tools and practices.
  5. Available to work reasonable overtime as required.
