Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Consultant Psychiatrist level mental health assessment and management at the Immigration Detention Centre clinic.
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team in IHMS sites to provide holistic mental health care.
  • Provide supervision, training, and oversight of staff working with mental health patients.
  • Make recommendations regarding mental health care and provide reports.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Specialist Psychiatrist qualification in country-of-origin equivalent to Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP).
  • Current AHPRA Registration.
  • Minimum 2 years proven experience as a psychiatrist.
  • Preferably forensic experience.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
