Role Overview

Star HR is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team in an educational setting. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting students with disabilities to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' motor skills and educational needs.
• Develop and implement personalized therapy plans tailored to address students' specific objectives and challenges.
• Deliver direct therapy services, both individually and in group settings, to support students' learning and development.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment and promote inclusive learning practices.
• Provide training and support to school staff and parents on strategies to support students' needs.
• Monitor students' progress and adjust therapy interventions as necessary to ensure continued growth and development.

Requirements

• Tertiary Qualification in Occupational Therapy – current AHPRA registration.
• Experience working with children and adolescents with disabilities, preferably within a school or educational setting.
• Current driver's license and car is a MUST, you will be travelling between schools.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
