About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at Broad & CIMIC Group. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for providing SHEQ support services on site, preparing safety management plans, assisting and advising on site investigations, conducting SHEQ audits, and assisting with inspections to ensure compliance with our systems and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective safety management plans to ensure a safe working environment
- Conduct site investigations and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions
- Provide guidance and support to site personnel on safety procedures and protocols
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, clients, and subcontractors to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
- Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and regulations, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the construction industry
- Demonstrable experience of Safety Management System implementation
- Proficiency in MS Office and exposure to in-house Health and Safety systems
- Robust understanding of Commonwealth Construction Safety legislation
- Solid communication and management skills to lead, challenge, and improve safety practices on site
