The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing logistics, warehouse, and distribution strategies to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This includes managing 3rd party provider service levels to maintain high customer service standards across Australia, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records through tracking, cycle counts, reconciliations, and master data analysis.

Job Description

What You'll Do:

  • Cycle Counts & Stocktakes: Plan and execute regular inventory checks to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Inventory Management: Perform inventory reconciliations and variance reviews to identify and resolve discrepancies. Ensure stock traceability by maintaining detailed records of inventory movements and conducting investigations into stock issues and claims from customers and third-party logistics providers.
  • Supplier & Customer Relations: Manage service levels and agreements with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. Address non-conformances and claims from customers and warehousing, ensuring high standards of service and resolving issues promptly.
  • Logistics Coordination: Liaise with transportation companies to arrange the collection and delivery of goods to customer and 3PL sites. This includes booking trucks, coordinating schedules, and ensuring efficient and cost-effective transportation solutions.
  • Strategic Planning: Participate in the APAC Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to align inventory and logistics strategies with business needs. Manage 3PL strategies to optimise warehousing, distribution, and transport operations, ensuring they meet the company's goals and objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications

We're looking for a candidate who has:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics and/or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a multinational corporation with operations in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Proven experience in logistics, distribution and imports/exports.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships at all levels.
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Excel and Warehouse Management systems.
  • Previous experience working within manufacturing and/or FMCG is desirable.
  • Process and results-driven.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A solution-focused mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to analyse and process high volumes of data and documentation, on a daily basis.
