The Role

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of project activities.

You will report to the Project Manager, working closely with site teams, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to deliver road construction and maintenance projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee engineering and construction activities, ensuring compliance with Main Roads WA standards.
  • Manage project scheduling, budgeting, and forecasting to meet commercial objectives.
  • Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and consultants to maintain smooth project delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Identify, assess, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Drive a strong safety and quality culture across all project teams.
  • Monitor project progress, reporting key milestones and issues to senior management.

About You:

You are a highly motivated Senior Project Engineer with a strong background in road construction, civil infrastructure, and Main Roads WA projects.

You have excellent problem-solving skills and thrive in a fast-paced, site-based environment.

Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Proven experience in road construction and maintenance projects (MRWA experience highly regarded).

Strong understanding of contract management, cost control, and project planning.

Ability to lead and coordinate subcontractors and site teams.

Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
