Enterprise Data Solutions Specialist

Job Description

This key role plays a pivotal part in delivering cutting-edge data solutions for large-scale government transformations.

  • Lead the development of conceptual, logical, and physical data models across both core and access layers of an enterprise data warehouse.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design and maintenance of conceptual, logical, and physical models.
  • Setting standards for peer reviews and managing release processes for data models.
  • Driving improvements in modelling practices, documentation, and workflows.
  • Developing and maintaining SQL-based ETL and analytical code across platforms such as MS SQL, Teradata, Snowflake, Redshift, or Databricks.
  • Supporting the development of consumption layers for end-user reporting and analytics.
  • Creating and managing data dictionaries and ensuring alignment with metadata-driven frameworks.
  • Providing knowledge transfer and support for internal stakeholders and developers.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, testers, and data consumers to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
  • Maintaining system documentation and contributing to backlog grooming and delivery planning.

Required skills and experience include:

  • 4+ years in a similar data modelling role.
  • Demonstrated experience in data modelling using metadata or model-driven frameworks.
  • Proficiency with at least two of the following: MS SQL, Teradata, Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks.
  • Solid understanding of DevOps processes and tools.
  • High-level programming capability, ideally with experience in Python, R, SAS, or Java.
  • Strong knowledge of version control practices and tools.
  • Australian Citizenship is mandatory.
