Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate learning experiences for children, promoting their physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Supervise children to ensure their health, safety, and well-being are maintained.
  • Contribute to the implementation of customized educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) learning outcomes.
  • Support the team in problem-solving and offer innovative ideas to enhance activities and programs.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and families, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Record observations and maintain accurate records associated with the position.
Requirements:
  • Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, combined with ongoing professional development.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Previous experience working in a long day care centre, catering to the needs of children between six weeks and five years.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with staff, children, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours within core Centre operating times due to legislative staffing ratios.
