The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our renowned Real Estate Finance practice, consistently ranked Band 1 by Chambers. This team sits within our Global Loans practice, handling sophisticated real estate finance transactions, including high-value bilateral and syndicated investment facilities, complex development, construction, and acquisition financings with multi-jurisdictional or bespoke structuring elements.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading transactions from start to finish, drafting and negotiating facility, security, and intercreditor documentation
  • Managing and guiding junior lawyers to achieve excellence
  • Driving matter strategy and collaborating directly with senior stakeholders, sponsors, and financiers
  • Nurturing key client relationships and contributing to thought leadership initiatives
  • Supporting team growth through business development, training, and knowledge-sharing

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in loan markets gained within a top-tier firm, respected mid-tier firm, or in-house, with expertise in real estate finance, including acquisition and development finance
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating finance documents in real estate financing transactions, including facility agreements, intercreditor agreements, and side deeds
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and superior analytical and drafting skills
