**Job Description:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in community and residential settings. Your primary focus will be on providing safe, compassionate, and person-centered care to patients who require rehabilitation and restorative care.


  • You will conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop tailored care plans to meet the individual needs of each patient.
  • You will administer clinical care such as wound management, catheter care, and medication administration.
  • You will educate patients and their families on self-care and health management.
  • You will work independently and collaboratively with nursing staff and allied health professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • You will support quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records.
  • You will participate in an on-call roster and occasional work across multiple sites within Metro South Health.
  • You will lead and supervise junior nursing and care staff as required.


**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Demonstrated clinical competence and ability to provide person-centered care in a community or similar setting.
  • Excellent assessment, planning, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice.
  • Experience or willingness to work in community-based rehabilitation and restorative care.
  • Current Class C driver's license and willingness to travel across Metro South Health sites.
