Health Coaching Role

As a health coach, you will provide clinical support and guidance to individuals aiming to improve their overall wellbeing while minimizing hospitalization. You will offer telephone-based support, connect clients with relevant resources, and provide evidence-based advice on health and wellbeing behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify suitable clients for coaching programs and conduct regular follow-up calls.
  • Deliver coaching services over the phone to individuals on nutrition, diet, and other health & wellbeing programs.
  • Assist clients in navigating the healthcare system and connecting them with relevant resources.
  • Engage clients in disease management programs through phone interactions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve enquiries regarding treatment plans.
  • Manage challenging phone conversations using effective communication strategies.
  • Offer consultation services to other departments as required.
  • Handle client complaints related to support program administration or content.
  • Meet recruitment targets to optimize coaching programs and deliver desired outcomes.

About You:
  • Registered nurse with recent clinical experience and a good understanding of the Australian healthcare system.
  • Experience in one or more areas such as cardiology, diabetes, palliative care, orthopaedics, general surgery, chronic disease management, or accredited dietetics.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an engaging manner on the telephone.
  • Skilled at conflict resolution and encouraging behavior change in others.
  • Confident using computer systems.
  • Ability to assimilate new data and assess the veracity of medical information.
