About Early Learning Position:

The role of Childcare Worker encompasses contributing to children's developmental milestones and fostering their curiosity through engaging, age-appropriate experiences.

Key responsibilities include designing educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), facilitating intentional teaching moments, observing and documenting progress, guiding social-emotional development, maintaining hygiene standards, creating predictable routines, conducting safety checks, administering first aid, building relationships with families, collaborating with room leaders, participating in community events, and contributing to quality improvement processes.

  • Design and implement educational programs for early years learning.
  • Facilitate play-based activities including storytelling, music, art and sensory exploration to enhance children's learning.
  • Observe and document children's progress to support individual learning goals and share insights with families.
  • Guide social-emotional development by modelling positive behaviour and conflict resolution strategies.
  • Maintain impeccable hygiene standards including nappy changing, toileting assistance and mealtime supervision.
  • Create predictable routines that provide emotional security while allowing flexibility for spontaneous learning.
  • Conduct thorough safety checks of indoor/outdoor environments and resources before activities.
  • Administer first aid when required and follow health management plans for children with additional needs.
  • Build trusting relationships with families through daily conversations and formal progress updates.
  • Collaborate with room leaders to create displays that make children's learning visible to parents.
  • Participate in community events and centre initiatives that strengthen family connections.
  • Contribute to quality improvement processes through reflective practice.
