The University of Queensland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Travel Manager to join our team. As a key member of the UQ travel team, you will be responsible for leading the continuous improvement of UQ's travel booking processes, driving compliance, efficiency, and an exceptional experience for our travellers.

In this pivotal role, you will lead strategic partnerships with third-party travel providers while championing travel risk management, compliance, and the safety of UQ travellers. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including the Senior Manager, University Travel, and work with the UQ Insurance Services team.

Key responsibilities will include:

">

  • Reviewing and maintaining the ongoing delivery of travel-related initiatives.

  • Maintaining strategic relationships with the University's corporate travel provider(s) to ensure services are delivered to agreed standards.

  • Working with internal stakeholders to maintain compliance with processes, procedures, and systems to effectively and efficiently manage UQ Travel and promote traveller safety and positive traveller experience.

  • Providing support for travel assistance matters.

  • Preparing reliable reporting and information to decision makers in relation to matters impacting UQ Travel and travellers.

  • Developing and implementing relevant communications and training programs.

  • Playing a key role in enforcing the requirements of the UQ Travel Policy.
