About the Role

IDEXX is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of an end-to-end fortnightly payroll for our employees across Australia & New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and process payroll for employees across Australia & New Zealand
  • Support employees with payroll queries and provide timely responses
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies
  • Prepare payroll reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare journals, reconciliations, and support business with audit and compliance activities
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure payroll accuracy and efficiency
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities through streamlining, automation, and best practice
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within the payroll function and drive projects to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Requirements

  • Minimum 7+ years of payroll experience in a medium to large organization
  • Recent experience using Micropay is required
  • Experience with a time and attendance system is required
  • Sound knowledge of Australian and New Zealand payroll and HR legislation
  • Exposure to award/IR payroll and variable pay provisions
  • Proactive attitude and ability to learn processes quickly
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
