Senior Leadership Role: Director of HSEQ and Sustainability

This is a strategic leadership position that sets the direction for an organisation's Health, Safety, Environment, Quality (HSEQ) and Sustainability strategies. The successful candidate will champion a strong safety culture, embed sustainability principles across the business, and ensure compliance with industry standards and legislative requirements.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and execution of the company's HSEQ & Sustainability strategy.
  • Provide expert advice to the Executive Team and broader management team on emerging risks, compliance trends, and improvement opportunities.
  • Oversee ISO accreditations (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001) and Federal Safety (OFSC) and ensure continual improvement.
  • Embed sustainability into business planning, tendering, project delivery, and supply chain management.
  • Mentor, lead, and develop your team.
  • Represent the company with regulatory bodies, clients, and industry forums.
  • Monitor and report on performance against key metrics and benchmarks.

Requirements:
  • A proven track record of leading HSEQ and Sustainability at a senior leadership level.
  • Strategic thinking skills to navigate complex regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to inspire teams and deliver tangible results in safety, quality, environment, and sustainability performance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
