Job Description

This role involves working closely with our Scrum Master to understand team objectives, participating in daily stand-ups, and providing development estimations. You will also participate in business qualification and scoping workshops with customers, write and review solution designs, and develop high-quality software based on agreed-upon designs.

You will analyze and understand functional requirements, perform unit testing, participate in code reviews, and follow software architecture and development guidelines. Additionally, you will work closely with the team to isolate, reproduce, and resolve software defects, provide support to the QA team, and liaise with internal teams on technical matters.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the Scrum Master to understand team objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have extensive experience in software development using Java or Kotlin programming languages, Android application development, and C/C++ (desirable). Additionally, you should have knowledge of networking (WiFi, Ethernet), Bluetooth, and payments terminal security and encryption.

You should also possess clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, experience with producing design and functional documentation, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Familiarity with agile and scrum methodologies, strong command of programming concepts, and experience with Git are highly valued. Prior experience in software development roles, particularly in EFTPOS devices and/or Android devices (minimum of 2 years), is also desirable.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
