Service Technician Job Summary

Oceaneering, a global provider of engineered services and products to the offshore energy industry, is seeking an experienced Service Technician. This role involves assembling components, testing equipment, performing maintenance, reading schematics, and operating hydraulic power units.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble components from detailed drawings.
  • Test assembled components with hydraulic power units.
  • Perform maintenance on machines, tools, and equipment.
  • Read and comprehend basic hydraulic and electrical schematics.
  • Read and comprehend basic drawings, specifications, and procedures.
  • Operate hydraulic power units and general hand, hydraulic, and air tools.
  • Diagnose malfunctions and provide technical feedback.
  • Maintain shop cleanliness and perform work in an expedient and safe manner.

Requirements

  • Relevant trade qualification (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic).
  • Minimum 2-4 years' experience in a related role.
  • Proficient computer skills (e.g., Word and Excel).
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to solve practical problems.
  • Knowledge of safety standards.

Safety

The successful candidate will ensure that safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as reasonably practicable. They will promote a strong HSE culture and identify with and achieve necessary health and safety performance standards associated with the relative risks to personnel and plant in their environment and daily work.
