Operations Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our team of educators and contribute to the delivery of high-quality early childhood education and care.

  1. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for mentoring teams and empowering Centre Managers to achieve their full potential.
  2. You will develop and execute strategic plans tailored to each service, driving operational excellence and growth through effective leadership and management.
  3. Your focus will be on strengthening family and community connections through communication and CRM engagement, ensuring that our services meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
  4. You will oversee service performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and operational efficiency, to ensure that our centres operate effectively and efficiently.
  5. Your leadership style will champion strong leadership and team engagement strategies across multiple locations, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  6. You will conduct regular audits to uphold compliance, best practice, and continuous improvement across all centres, ensuring that our services meet regulatory requirements and maintain high-quality standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A diploma, bachelor, or equivalent qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care is essential.
  • Proven experience in multi-site management, with a compassionate leadership style and a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) is required.
  • A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance, with previous experience in budgeting and workforce planning.
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and leadership skills, with proficiency in relevant software systems, including Kidsoft, CCSS, ISS, and CRM.
  • Knowledge of legislation across Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia, and Victoria, with current certifications in First Aid, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma.
  • A valid Police Check and Working With Children (WWC) Check are also required.
