Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Psychiatrist to join our team in delivering high-quality general adult psychiatric services. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with patients, supervise junior staff and contribute to the advancement of mental health care delivery.

About the Position

This Consultant Psychiatrist – Staff Specialist role offers a challenging and rewarding experience in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. As a key consultant, you will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care, mentoring junior staff and participating in the development of new mental health initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality general adult psychiatric services to inpatients and outpatients
  • Supervise and mentor psychiatric registrars and junior medical staff
  • Act as a key consultant to health professionals
  • Advance mental health care delivery aligned with national standards

Eligibility Criteria
  • Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia in Psychiatry
  • Demonstrated experience in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry and interest in teaching and supervision
