Manufacturing Specialist Role

Our company is seeking a skilled manufacturing specialist to join our team in Melbourne. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the production, assembly, servicing and testing of wire ropes, chain slings and other lifting gear.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy machinery, including hydraulic presses and chain cutters
  • Assemble and inspect lifting equipment
  • Manufacture and test chain and wire rope slings
  • Pick and pack products according to customer orders
  • Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in manufacturing or a related field
  • Knowledge of the lifting and rigging industry preferred but not essential
  • Able to interpret technical information and perform standard calculations
  • Forklift license with recent experience required
  • Commitment to quality and safety
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Basic computer skills for data entry – training provided
  • Motivation to learn and progress into other roles within the business
  • Experience working in a customer-focused environment
  • Dedication, reliability and a strong work ethic
