Job Description

Subsea 7 is a leading provider of seabed-to-surface engineering, construction, and services to the offshore energy industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement structural engineering solutions for high-technology systems.
  • Provide technical support to the Tendering department for bid preparation and business plan development.
  • Lead the engineering team in the development of engineering solutions for various tasks and problems encountered throughout the project.
  • Ensure that design work is carried out according to the latest revisions of standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with the project team to deliver assigned project/tender scope in accordance with customer specifications, industry standards, and project schedule.
  • Review and agree specifications and scopes of work within the assigned scope with relevant centres of competence.
  • Provide regular feedback on utilisation and support as required.
  • Assist during vessel mobilisation and offshore phase as needed.
Requirements
  • Recognised degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years' work experience in Offshore/Onshore Engineering.
  • Good knowledge of spool piece installation, flexible flowlines, tie-ins, subsea structures, riser installation, umbilicals, DPII construction vessels, Hyperbaric tie-ins, and pipelay experience.
  • Good knowledge of Steel structure design and installation, Transportation Analysis and Seafastening Design, Vessel Strength check, and Fabrication and Material Specifications.
  • Familiar with technical software within the field.
  • Familiar with Safety and Quality policy within Subsea 7.
  • Familiar with design, drafting, sub-contracting, and procurement procedures within Subsea 7.
