Job Title: Senior Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Analyst to join our Finance Operations team at TAL Services Limited. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for executing key data and automation processes, and contributing to the monthly reporting process for TAL's Finance business units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Excellence: Implement process improvement initiatives under the direction of Managers or Senior Managers in the team, focusing on reducing manual repetitive work, simplification, and standardization.
  • Challenge the status quo and continuously seek out opportunities to improve processes.
  • Problem-solving: Identify and resolve issues promptly to minimize their impact on processes and results.
  • Execution of Finance Operations Service Catalogue commitments to customers under the direction of Managers or Senior Managers in the team.
  • Maintenance, development, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of key processes and models.
People Management:
  • Delegate and review the work of junior team members, as required.
Stakeholder Engagement:

Cultivate collaborative relationships with finance, actuarial teams, and key stakeholders at peer group level.

Qualifications:
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Tertiary qualification in actuarial studies, mathematics, statistics, IT/Computer Science, or equivalent relevant disciplines.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in life insurance or financial services.
  • Technology savvy, with experience in implementing change.
  • Aptitude for learning new software tools.
