Service Technician

The High Voltage Products team offers technology that enhances the safety, reliability and efficiency of power networks while minimizing environmental impact. We facilitate developments in areas such as ultra-high-voltage power transmission, enabling smart grids and enhancing eco-efficiency.

This role focuses on executing Installation, commissioning, repair, and maintenance activities specific to customer requirements. You will proactively identify potential opportunities to improve the reliability of equipment and recommend actions through communication with the customer thereby contributing to service growth.

  • Carry out service works, such as installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair work and other service-related activities on High Voltage Switchgear associated with Transmission and Generation industries
  • Diagnose technical problems, determine, and implement corrective actions
  • Execute service activities at workshops and at customer sites on time within budget with expected quality and focus on safety
  • Maintain and strengthen working relationships with customers
  • Interact with and support the sales team on potential business opportunities
  • Prepare all necessary documents and reports associated with service activities
  • Proactively identify and participate in performance improvements within the business to enhance operations and customer service

You will also undertake Product training to develop skill sets, further enhance product knowledge and grow as a product specialist.

You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

A bachelor's degree or Diploma or TAFE qualification is preferred. Minimum experience of 5+ years in a similar role within the Power Industry. Exposure to High Voltage Gas Insulated Switchgear or Generator Circuit Breaker Switchgear field work is an advantage.

Candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, customer focused, ability to communicate effectively, work within a team, and follow instructions as well as being able to work individually.

Key Requirements:
