The Opportunity
We are seeking a seasoned mergers and acquisitions specialist to join our dynamic team in Sydney and/or Melbourne. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals to take a leading role on domestic and cross-border transactions across the Asia Pacific.
About the RoleThis position requires a high-performing individual with strong advisory and client relationship skills, as well as extensive experience working on private and public M&A deals.
Your Key Responsibilities- You will be a key contributor to the success of our transactional services team, working closely with partners on business development activities to identify new opportunities and contribute strategically to proposal efforts.
- You will also be encouraged to develop valuable relationships and enhance your market presence.
We look for ambitious individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are not afraid to innovate. To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A qualified lawyer with four to eight years post-qualification experience gained in private practice.
- Demonstrated experience working on complex M&A transactions.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to assimilate information quickly and handle multiple priorities under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to liaise with clients and diverse stakeholder audiences.
- Collegiate and collaborative, with the ability to lead, mentor and support other team members.
- To be commercially aware and enthusiastic about business development.
- To enjoy working in a high-performing team.
- To bring energy and passion to the role.
