Job Title

We are seeking a Payroll Officer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and processing of weekly and monthly payrolls, including the management of Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting, employee payroll advice, time sheet review and commission payments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll Management: Prepare, balance and reconcile Payroll Tax, PAYG Tax, FBT, Superannuation, and Income Statement.
  • Compliance: Manage STP reporting and ensure timely submission to the relevant authorities.
  • Employee Advice: Provide expert payroll advice to employees on all payroll related matters in a timely manner.
  • Policies and Procedures: Interpret policies, employment agreements, awards, and legislations.
  • Calculations: Calculate Long Service Leave and Termination Pays.
  • Workers Compensation: Process workers' compensation, including reconciling reimbursements.
  • Financial Reconciliation: Balance all payroll ledger accounts, including the posting journals.
  • Operational Procedures: Create and update Standard Operating Procedures for payroll activities.
  • Data Integrity: Maintain data integrity of the payroll system and the time and attendance system.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain payroll-related records.
  • Reporting: Produce reports as required.
