Veterinary Surgical Specialist

Our team is seeking a skilled and passionate Full-Time Surgery Veterinary Nurse with a strong background in veterinary nursing, specifically focusing on surgical procedures. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside leading veterinary specialists and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

• Assisting veterinarians during surgical procedures, including preparation, monitoring, and post-operative care
• Maintaining surgical suites and equipment to ensure cleanliness and functionality
• Providing support in anesthesia administration and monitoring
• Monitoring patient vital signs and responding to changes in condition
• Providing compassionate care to patients and their families, offering education and support as needed
• Collaborating with other members of the veterinary team to ensure seamless patient care

• A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary nursing role, with a focus on surgical procedures
• Strong knowledge of surgical nursing techniques and protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate attitude towards animals and their caregivers
• Willingness to be on-call for emergency specialised surgical procedures
