Senior Financial Accountant

As a key member of our finance team, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial accuracy, compliance, and process efficiencies.

Job Description

This is a hands-on Senior Financial Accountant position where you will be responsible for:

  1. Month-end financial reporting, general ledger reviews & reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
  2. Preparation of budgets & forecasts alongside FP&A teams to inform business decisions.
  3. Tax compliance including BAS, FBT & payroll tax to maintain regulatory adherence.
  4. Managing internal & external audits to mitigate risks & improve financial processes.
  5. Overseeing customer rebate & incentive accruals to maximize revenue potential.
  6. Driving process improvements & system efficiencies to increase productivity.
  7. Business partnering with internal stakeholders to support commercial decision-making.
  8. Oversight of AP & AR functions, working closely with offshore shared services.
Required Skills & Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • CPA/CA qualification to provide strong financial expertise.
  • Solid experience in a similar financial accounting role within multinational FMCG, manufacturing, or wholesale industries.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge & compliance experience to navigate complex financial regulations.
  • Advanced Excel skills (experience with large data sets & reconciliations) to analyze and present financial data effectively.
  • Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders & drive financial insights to inform business decisions.
  • Experience working with high transaction volumes in a complex, commercial environment.
  • A 'can-do' attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
