About the Role
This Casual Registered Nurse position is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate nurse to join our team at Flinders Medical Centre's Adult Mental Health Services Department. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with mental health needs, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes;
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each patient;
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records, ensuring timely and effective communication with other healthcare professionals and stakeholders;
- Participate in quality improvement activities, identifying opportunities for improvement and contributing to the development of new policies and procedures;
- Support and educate patients, families, and carers, empowering them to take an active role in their care and recovery.
Requirements
- You must be registered as a Nurse by the Nursing/Midwifery Board of Australia and hold a current practicing certificate;
- You must hold or be enrolled in an approved mental health course;
- You must demonstrate competence in mental health nursing practice, with a strong understanding of relevant policies, procedures, and legislation;
- Experience in quality improvement activities is highly desirable.
